Been waiting a year soon for this monitor I think - since CES 2019 when ASUS first unveiled it, I believe. Anyone heard anything on when it will finally be out? I think the talk was Q1 2020 originally, but then goddamn corona came along, so it probably did a number on the timetable there.
This monitor checks so many of my desires, except for the probably very high price, we'll have to see how crazy it will be when they finally reveal that... They said it would be cheaper than Apple's monster, and that shouldn't be too difficult.
Question is, will it be cheaper even without that crazy $1000 monitor stand...? That's what I really wanna know! lol
Other than that, HDR 1600 nits, quantum dot deep color/dolby vision support, 120Hz IPS panel - and one that ISN'T goddamn gsync for once, om nom nom nom! And thunderbolt 3 too, with 85W-ish power delivery, I can charge my macbook with that thing! Lots of video inputs, USB hub, even speakers I think. So much good stuff. Looks nice too, with slim bezels almost all around. I also believe it has a built-in power supply, which shouldn't even be a question, but tons of monitors these days have these god-awful power bricks which crap up the floor and collect dust. Damn, I hate external power supplies so much. (How's that for a first-world problem eh!)
*MCP voice* End of line.
