It was National Ice Cream Day yesterday, and Kroger had their Private Selection Ice Cream for $.99. The name on this flavor was so ridiculous that I had to get it:

Denali Extreme Maximum Fudge Moose Tracks

I have to say it's FREAKIN' FANTASTIC. It's like half ice cream, half dark chocolate ribbon, and half mini-peanut butter cups (it's three halfs because it's EXTREME MAXIMUM).

Highly recommended!

I get the regular (less fudge) version once in awhile, it's good. Here it's QFC instead of Kroger.

A local Dairy has a Moose Tracks ice cream as well, a very tasty concoction for sure.

Haven't had that. I bought some Peachy Paterno(did not know there was peach schnapps in this) and Happy Happy Joy Joy. Had Alumni Swirl while I was there which was shockingly good. Blueberry swirl that was actual blueberries instead of gross syrup, I don't know why I expected less really. I ate PSU ice cream 24/7 while I was there. Funny story:

At one point the dining commons offered takeout containers, you couldn't do all you could eat obviously but you could stuff the square container as full as possible as long as it closed, along with a soup container. You may see where this is going but I started to fill up the soup container with ice cream instead of soup. A good pint's worth each trip. A cafeteria worker noticed me one day, eyed me suspiciously, then stated that that was the best idea she's ever seen.

I don't eat carbs during the week and eat whatever I want on the weekends. It works for me. I'm 46, 6'4", and keeping a 33" waistline doing that

Of course I'm down to 32" after the surgery, so not sure how long I'll stay there.

It's good stuff for sure. I'm kind of a chocoholic so it's awesome to me but for people who are not so enamored of chocolate might find it to be over the top.

I was watching a show about ice cream and they talked about the PSU ice cream. Someone said that the ice cream was so fresh that two days ago it was grass.

That's hardly unique. I went to UConn and that school does the same. Agricultural programs raise dairy cows, they produce fresh milk and cream and it's turned into ice cream and cheese immediately. There are hundreds or perhaps thousands of small farms scattered around the country that raise dairy cattle and sell products that come from the cows.
