private phone is dead - free voicemail service

i used privatephone.com as a 2nd number, so i don't have to give everyone my cell phone number.
when i logged in today it said they are discontinuing service as of Dec. 15, 2007

does anyone know of a free of cheap replacement?

you could get a prepaid cell phone that has cheap minutes, and just get new minutes when needed to keep the number from expiring. I know Tracphone has a one year card...might be a bit of money at first, but i'd last for a year.

i looked into tmobile prepaid for someone else. i think you can do it for $100 a year.

at that rate skype in is cheaper at $60 a year. (voicemail is included)
i've never used skype before, how well does their voicemail work?

I use grandcentral, it works great. use it with magicjack for $40/year unlimited long distance
