Private movie screening, pain or gain?

Has anyone ever been to one of those "private screenings" to a movie that you get from somebody handing out flyers in front of movie theaters or the post office? The movie looks okay and has some big stars in it but not sure if there is a hassle involved to make it worth seeing it.
According to the flyer you have to
1) Get there a hour early
2) Not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
3) You can't be dirty, unkempt, or improperly dressed
4) No audio or video recording
5) Agree to a physical search or your belongings and person if necessary

Looks like just your generic rules except the hour early part. Do they take polls or just looking at audience reactions during the movie? Just curious, any info appreciated.

They overbook, dont get in line early you dont get a seat

But plan on more than an hour, some rocket brain at the movie studios thinks they need to search every person for camera phones so the move wont get out on the intarweb (but its out 9 days berfore the sneak anyway)

Say hi to the incompetent rentacops for me

I've been to a few "Press Screenings" of films. Definately get there at least an hour early. THey will overbook and they will turn you away if you can't find a seat. Those things always fill up at least 10 minutes before the movie starts. It always boggles my mind when people circle the theater for 20 minutes with their kids in tow and then get angry when they can't find all their seats in a row to the free movie. :p

They never surveyed me or asked me anything. No searches or problems.

I went to an advanced screening of American Wedding and the flier said to be there 2 hours before show time, but we arrived like 30 mins before and still got in... security is really tight and didn't let us leave the theater 5 mins before the movie started and the movie started late, but it was free.... still a good deal.

Just wish it was a more action packed movie, the movie is called "The Big Shot" with
Alec Baldwin, Mathew Broderick, Calistra Flockhart, Joan Cusack, others. Maybe if they served free nachos or drinks :) I would definitely go.
Thanks for the info, didn't even think about them overbooking it.
