Can you make it so that arrow (which appears when you hide the visual attrocity and waste of space that is the left side menu) blinks when you get a new PM? It's impossible to use the forums without the left menu hidden but it's annoying to have to keep checking and see if there's a new PM...

or you could just adjust the width by about half and stop the truncating text 🙂
