its a based on defraction grateing, and polorization of the light. im gonna guess you dont have the tools to make them. what if they walk behind you?? and would it not be easer to just do you work than figure out ways to get out of it? just wondering. . . .

the point is to have enough time to alt+tab before they see what we're actually doing. and there is no work, it's a joke of a class, and the teacher just lets us play games the whole time. the only problem is the administration walked in a couple days ago and witnessed us with hats on, blasting music from an ipod and playing civ 3, so they got kinda pissed off, and now you're not allowed to play ANY games

Yes, it is a type of polarized lens just arranged vertically instead of horizontally and instead of just lines (like polarized sun glasses), the polarizing elements have more depth, like very thin slats. Unlikely that anyone could make that on their own.

Besides which, why are the students putting up with spending time in school where you aren't learning something worthwhile. (Don't bother answering as I know the reason.) But you should be aware that you are allowing someone who should be teaching you to goof off at public expense, participating in your own dumbing down, getting a false concept of reality, damaging your own morality (character) and damaging your own future prospects.
. I know it's hard for you to think in those terms, but it's time to start.
