Hey, guys, you don't know me, but I was hoping you could help anyway:
For the past month, I've basically been a DC wanderer. The project that I consider the most valuable for society in general(Find-a-Drug), just isn't exciting anymore. So I've been wandering around trying out different projects. Riesel Sieve, Folding@Home,climate prediction. I've decided, for the time being, to run two projects at once on my computer. Other than the annoying fact that Riesel Sieve uses up space on my taskbar(as a minimized window) I barely notice them.
Here's the thing: I discovered that if I set the other program Einstein@home at Below_Normal and left Riesel Sieve at Low, they both almost exactly shared resources. The thing is every time E@H starts a new work-unit it resets to Low, at which point Riesel Sieve totally takes over and hogs all but about 6-10% of the available cpu. At the moment, I simply correct the problem in the Task Manager. But I'm hoping for a better solution. Any ideas?
Your help is appreciated.
