Priority Mail flat-rate envelopes

Cool, thanks for the sanity check.

Saw this on USPS site:
? The design and shape of the envelope may not be altered or enlarged in any way to fit the contents.

& was pretty sure it referred to altering the envelope, but had some doubts.

On an similar note, I got about 12# of fishing lead into one of their new flat-rate boxes. The guy at the counter wasn't as impressed as I was 🙁

in two separate ebay auction, i used a flat rate envelope to send 64 wooden pencils and a 2nd flat rate envelope to send two nicely folded XL tshirts.

can you get them to ship you free flat rate envelopes? I can't find them on the usps store, I only see the flat rate boxes.

Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope

hey thanks! type "priority mail flat rate envelope" in the search thing and that doesn't show up 😉

... go ask the workers. This have bubble wrap and stuff they let me use. The post office is too busy to stock up.

When you order from USPS supply store online, everything's shipped to you for free, packing tape, boxes, envelope, labels, as many as you want. When you ask the post office clerks, they only give you 2 and give you the eeeeeeevil eye.

I haven't seen the tape for a while now. I just received about 200 boxes from USPS the other day.

Good thing I have about 10 rolls of tape from a previous order:thumbsup:

Looks like people like the guy above me abused the system and pissed USPS off, and took the tape out.

My MOm is famous for stuffing those flat rate envelopes...

Usually we get them and they're literally bursting at the seems, only held together because she wraps the finished envelope in clear tape.

once she went to the counter to drop off and pay for postage for a buttload of packages. The guy at the counter saw her busting at the seems flat rate envelope. He took the package apart and started to put it in a non-flat rate box (the free box for priority mail). My Mom asked what he was doing and the guy said she couldn't mail it like the way she had it. My Mom just asked for the stuff back, paid for a flat rate stamp, and re-packaged the flat rate envelope and out it in the mail box outside the post office...arrived 3-5 days later...

Yeah..Always ALWAYS put it in the box outside. I've lived in 5 different towns over the past few years, and believe me, the postal workers gave me the evil eye at every PO when I'd bring in Flat rate envelopes. It was like you were eating their first born or something

Umm...no abuse from me.

You can only order boxes in quanity of 25 at the minimum. I spend around $500/ month in postage with USPS.

Oh BTW...people like you are called assholes

You're the second in two days to call him that, I believe. Impressive!
