Prioritize Multiple Nic's

There is a way to have on of the nics to be the priority 1 under windows xp

I have one behind a router using Synergy and the other is public so I can remote into it. I need the nic with the public IP to be first priority so I can remote in but it always uses the other nic first. I used to know how to do this but dont remember anymore. Does anyone know?
