I recently got in the great deal for Samsung ML-2851ND laser printers, and picked up two: one for my home, and one for my mother's home. I've installed both as network printers.
I used the software from their website to install the drivers and control smart panel application. But I'm running into a problem...
When you do the default installation for the printer, it seems to use whatever IP address your printer is currently using on the LAN. So, over at my house my printer is at x.x.x.101, and at my mom's house it is at x.x.x.105. I installed the driver at my house, so it looks for it at .101 and finds it at home. But at my mom's house it looks for it at .101 and does't find it.
Is there a way, other than making sure the IP address is the same for the printer in both locations, of making it recognize the printer wherever I am?
