Printing Strange Characters

Hi

Whenever I try to print anything, either a word document, a grapchic, plain text from Notepad, and even Windows Text Page. strange characters print. However, I am able to print from MS-DOS. I typed dir > lpt1 and it worked.

Any ideas of what might be wrong?

usually, deleting the printer and giving it a fress install using the latest drivers helps for me....it could be that the memory of the printer's jacked up...turn it off (pull the cord) for like couple minutes.....refresh that memory....and then plug it back into the wall....

When I had my Lexmark printer, that used to happen to me when printing pages in Acrobat. There was a one click fix in the printer software. You might want to check your printer settings. I don't remember what it was called in the Lexmark, but when I was checking the settings, it jumped up and bit me. It was obvious.
