Recently my Epson printer starts to behave in a weird way, it would go through the printing process like normal, but gives out a blank white piece of paper with nothing on it.

the ink cartridge would go back and force like normal, without looking at the paper you would think it's printing just fine, but the papers would come out as if untouched.

I tried replacing cartridge, reinstall the printer driver, but nothing works. the printer worked fine before.

i'm really puzzled, if anybody have any ideas about this problem, please help,

Don't mean to sound facetious or anything, but I ran into that problem two weeks ago in our computer lab. Everyone was tearing their hair out trying new drivers, etc., etc. Turned out that someone changed the cartridge and forgot to remove the piece of blue tape that seals it. Could be something very simple. Try a different cartridge to be sure.

Ok . . . Epson, Epson! That rings a bell. Epson uses a separate print head from the cartridge and they are somewhat famous for clogging. The print head is expensive, and there are procedures for cleaning them. Eventually they will wear out and require replacement.

yea, i thought about the 'seal' problem, so i took out the old cartridges and replaced both black and color cartridges with new ones. i am pretty sure the 'blue seal' is off on each cartridge, i paid attention to that part ..but obviously this isn't the problem here, sounds like the print head needs some cleaning or maybe even replacement?

interestingly, my neighbor is having the same problem with her Compaq(lexmark) ink jet, she's calling compaq service this moment.
