Printing over wireless network?

What software do i need to be able to print things from my computer in my room, to the printer connected to my dads computer downstairs. My computer is connected to the internet via wireless connection, my dads is connected thru ethernet cable.

you don't need any special software, but the printer will have to be on your network. you can then map it as your default printer

Make sure sharing is enabled on the printer, and make sure the firewall allows printer sharing. It should show up in your list of printers if everything is shared correctly in your network.

How would i go about putting it on my netwrok?

Go to the computer that it is hooked up to and turnon "File and Printer sharing" through Network Connections. On that computer goto Pritners and Faxes and right click on the printer and choose Sharing, go through the dialogs enabling the drivers for whatever the wireless connected device has for an OS.

On the wireless computer you can now search for the printer that you previously shared...

Or you can get a wireless print server to do this as well if you want to be able to print when the PC it's hooked up to is turned off. You can find one at newegg.
