I updated XP with service pack 2 and now whenever I print anything I get a header page and trailer page. I just want to print without the extras. Anyone know how to stop this? I did not have this issue with SP1........... Thanks, Ken

Did you update your printer driver?

I went to the HP site to get the latest drivers and it clearly stated that if you have XP you do not need an update. I have had this printer for about 7 - 8 years and used it with windows 95, 98, XP and XP SP1 without any problems. When I upgraded to SP2 it started printing a banner page with my name and computer name and also printed a blank seperator page. This printer is conected to a router and used by 4 different pc's. When I upgraded the second pc to XP SP2 it also started to have this "issue". I can't find anyway to stop this. It is wasting a lot of paper and is becoming quite annoying.
Thanks, Ken

Uninstall printer drivers then restart.
Reinstall the drivers.
Post back and let us know what happens.

Just check that there isn't the option to 'uncheck the box' in the printer config settings.
Also, does it print out like that in everything? Say you want to print an Acrobat pdf, or a Word doc or a jpeg in photoshop (or whatever), does it still do it?
