HELP!!! haha. OK here is the deal. I have a win2k server that I remote in to using terminal services. I use an application that runs on the server and I need the ability to print to a local printer when I'm at home.

here is the scenario: I connect from home via terminal services to a win2k server. I use a database program that I need to print from. I can print to a printer that is attached to my local computer that is connected using terminal services...but I need to know how to print to a locally networked printer from a remote terminal services sessioon.

Any ideas?? thanks for the help.

load your drivers for you home printer on the TS, just make a fake printer on LPT1... then delete it and it will ask if you want to delete the associated files since they're no longer in use, say no... then it should map when you connect. FYI, I've seen that USB printers usually do not work though.

Tried the same thing.

Doesn't work, the Terminal Server still tries to print to LPT1 and if you delete that printer it gives error that a printer needs to be installed.
