printing digital photos

i have a bunch of digital photos i have on display on my website, i haven't kept most of the originals and i'm wanting to get a few printed. i have them saved as high quality jpegs at 600x450. can i get a decent sized, decent quality print out of a photo with the resolution of 600x450? what's the best size/dpi for a good quality 4x6 print?

I think my 2MP pics barely suffice for a nice 4x6 (I use a Sony dye-sub printer). If I crop them at all they look like crap.

You can print a 4x6 of that resolution, but it will be pretty low quality. My 2MP camera pics print nice 4x6 photos and ok 5x7.

For a 4x6 print for 'good quality' you want a minimum resolution of 1200x800 or so. For 5x7 about 1500x1000.

You will be able to get acceptable 4x6 prints from a 600x400 JPEG, but they will look obviously digital with visible blockiness when viewed closeup.
