Printing Accross the Web

I've got two Win98SE computers on our local cable network, both at different locations and different IP blocks. They would like to print from one computer to the shared printer on the other. Of course neither computer show up in the network neighborhood as shared, due to the difference in IP blocks.

So, thinking I'm smart, I added the other computer to the LMHOSTS file, thinking that maybe that would get it to show up or atleast during the printer install wizard, find the networked printer. Didn't work.

Short of adding a file server, I haven't found anything that says this will work. Anyone ever do such a thing or know how to make this work?
