Printing 4 x 6 pics

A friend has an HP printer HP psc 2170 all in one series and an Olympus Camedia Digital Camera D-575ZOOM. He's trying to print the JPEG pics on 4 x 6 paper but could not get the whole picture to fill the 4 x 6 paper.

Is there a recommended set of configuration that would work with this printer?

TIA

You are okay. its the system that is screwed up.

"Standard" digi pictures are 4:3, same as the monitor size (pic is 6" x 4.5")
So when you print a "standard" picture, you have to cut off from the top and bottom to fit the 3:2 form factor of a 6" x 4" picture.

Some newer digi cams let you shoot at 3:2 form factor.
