Hi All.
Is it possible to hook a printer/scanner combo (HP2210 if it matters) to a switch in the home
lan using one of these little Ethernet-to-USB printerserver boxes?
(or a router with built in printer server)
For printing it should work, but how about the scanner function?
I seriously doubt it will be possible to use the scanner as a network scanner, am I right?

You are right, the scanner doesn't work.

There are supposed to be some high-end HP scanners that have drivers that allow sharing, but I've never tried any of them.

I never tried it myself, but this software product makes an Interesting claim.

Sharing your scanner on network: you can share the scanner on your local network, scanning from every workstation, without necessarily using the pc directly connected to the scanner and without importing any file!

Try it, tell us of it works.
