Printers that look good even with generic ink

My epson photo 785's output BLOWS now that I use generic ink (From monsterinkjets.com)...I can't afford epson ink so is it a good idea to jump on a canon hot deal? For some reason pictures come out all scaley like .. Weird, huh?

I have never tried generic ink with my canon printer.. mostly because ive had bad experiences with using those refills things to where they leaked all over. so now i stick to the name brand.. stupid reason i know.. but atleast it works for me

Hmm... my printer makes no difference using generic ink, and its a worthless printer that came with an old $500 system my brother bought a few years ago, it still prints pretty good though. One of my friends thought I used a laser printern or something with color, just set the setting to highest because with $1 cartridges, its really cheap

laser is your friend.

for photos, professional developers are your friend.

inkjets are penny wise, pound foolish. you pay premium for good output with home convenience. theres no way around it.

Try using the Epson managment thingy that cleans the heads when you first change cartridges. The generics ain't too bad in my 760.

Have a laser myself.. I only use the inkjet for the occasional picture or two (I head to the pros if I ever fill up my flash memory card)... I just hate driving down to the store if I just need one picture...
