I'm into photography and have just splashed out on the 7 megapixel Casio Exilim. It rocks x 1000.
Thing is, I'm going to want to print out some of my work as my Deskjet 720C was low quality and has recently died. It sucks because my ex's father had given me 5 cartridges for the thing...
Anyhoo, I'm on the lookout for a new one. However, a recent article in Slashdot and the comments from the Slashdot crew have really slated the whole idea of inkjets and strongly suggest going down the laser route.
I'm not so sure... I'm not going to be printing out hundereds of pages, but the ones I do print out I want to be of a really high quality and borderless. Checking out the low-end colour laser printers, it seems the res that these things can print out is lower than that of an £80 HP inkjet. for example, the InkJet 7450 can push out 4800dpi in colour, borderless whereas a Laserjet 2550l can only push out a laughable 600dpi, and that's at £235!
There was also mention of 'Dye Sublimation' printers. Anyone know how good these are and any decent models?
Cheers.
