don't buy any HP 3210 all-in-one printers. they are absolute garbage.

we bought 2 of these for 2 ladies here at work. we'll call them Lady A and Lady B.

Lady A used hers for about a few days and then tried to use the scanner. would not work, everything scanned solid black. none of the fixes worked for it so we returned it for another one.

about 1 week later, Lady B's printer wouldn't copy anything. kept saying wrong paper size detected. Returned that for another one.

Lady A's printer stopped copying with the same error that Lady B had.
returned printer for another one.

now Lady B's printer is getting the same error as the previousone did.

Lady A has now had 3 of these printers. Lady B has had 2 so far.

printing is fine, its just the scanner/copier functions that go bad. they aren't doing anything wrong because when i use them, i get the same thing. hp is basically no help.

Time to get a new model or brand i guess...

I'm dealing with a hp laserjet 2200 that has an error code light pattern that is not in their documentation :mad;

Any consumer/SOHO level HP printer I've ever worked with has been an absolute steaming pile of dog sh!t, and the software is just dreadful.

We bought a few of these HP all in one jokes (fax, printer, copier, scanner). We mainly just use them for the fax and printer features but one of our managers want the scanner and copier feature installed so he can scan pictures of his daughter's schoolwork. So to make these two features work you will have to install HP's bloated software taking up 1 gig of HD space. Yes, a whole friggin gig!

I've had a HP PSC720 for a couple of years now and had no problems with it... other than choking every time i have to buy ink.

Admittedly its not heavily used, but it hasn't died yet.

I found that the scanner portion worked just fine with the software that's "built in" to XP, or comes with XP.

The Scan button on the printer doesn't do anything, but I can still scan pics into my apps.
