Printer worked perfect with WinME but has problems with WinXP

Hi
My Epson Photo 870 worked perfect with WinME but
it doesn't always work with WinXP. (new system)

I have found and installed new drivers for XP and
sometimes it works... sometimes it don't.

If i delete the printer and reinstall it seems to work
for a while.

Tried Win troubleshooter and it missed.....POW

There are so many settings etc. with XP, I don't know
what to try.

I have tries all the basics, power, cables, drivers, set as default , etc.

It's hard to tell my wife how great WinXP is when she can't print.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated...............Rick

My Epson gave me problems with XP when connected parallel and it was fine on Me. I connected it USB, deleted and reinstalled the drivers and it's fine now. <fwiw>
