Printer wont print from USB 4 port hub....

Hello...I just installed a USB 1.1 4 port hub into my ABIT KR7A mobo USB port...I use WIN XP Pro. The Creative Labs Card Cam that I plugged into the new 4 port hub works fine but my new SAMSUNG ML 1430 laser printer wont print from the 4 port hub. I used an old Creative Labs Web Cam USB cable to connect the SAMSUNG printer to the new 4 port hub. I even changed the port setting under CONTROL PANEL-Printers to *Virtual USB* from LPT1. What am I doing wrong and how can I get my new SAMSUNG printer to print from the new 4 port hub? Id rather use the USB port than the older LPT1 port.
