Printer that prints on CDs

I doubt most people buy a printer for the sole purpose of printing to CD's and DVD's, and that includes me. So what printers out there support this? I am having a hard time finding any that do.

I did find that the Canon PIXMA MP830 does, but not in the US. Someone else holds a patent or some such thing and they removed this printers ability to do it here in the US. You can "hack" it, but changing the region on the printer - and then removing a piece of one of the trays, and then buying the CD tray on eBay for about $15.00.

This will probably be what I do, but I don't necessarily need an AIO - I'd like the scanner but probably wouldn't use it much. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Canon iP3000 and up all have the CD printing tray - except in the US, where a local patent granted to Seiko Epson prevents everyone else from offering such product. A shining example of what's wrong with your patent office ...

What a bunch of retarded nonsense. Why not just grant Epson a patent for printing on paper. Oh well, I settled on the MP600 for $157 shipped from TechonWeb and bought the CD Tray from eBay for $16.95 shipped.

for everyone else, here are detailed instructions on how to "hack" the Pixma line of Canon printers

The R series of Epsons print on discs but I don't buy or recommend Epson printers due to their still-unresolved clogging problems. The modded Canon is probably a good choice.
