A case of a malfunctioning printer has arisen. (is that uncommon...heh) My friend's printer is using only 1/8 of the upper left hand corner on each sheet of paper. It is very odd, and dont start announcing possible causes...there are some limitations.

Limitations:
Microsoft Word files are printing fine
Printer settings seem fine
The printer only malfunctions when internet text is printed.

Any help is appreciated.

If this only happens when printing from your browser, then I doubt your printer is actually malfunctioning. Maybe a problem with your browser settings. What browser are you using?

pterG, have you looked at the PAGE SETUP section in your friends browser to see if anything is amiss? Maybe a re-install of the browser could cure the problem.

Yeah I know, it wasnt really the printer that was malfunctioning, and it was odd that it was only messing up in the browsers. My friend uses AOL, but it did the same thing in IE. However, she just emailed me and said she fixed it. It was the page setup like you said Zim. I had told her to check the printer settings, but they were okay. She figured it out, it was under the page setup.

Yep. Change your render setting under Page Setup. Been there done that. It seems to be an IE bug that Microsoft doesn't care about - I've never seen it or had it happen in Netscape / Mozilla. Changing it back will break it again, too. :p

pterG, even though we didn't help her directly, seeing that she helped herself is cool, maybe she's a future AT member :)
