Printer Suggestions?

I currently have a HP Deskjet 930C (color).

I am getting really fed up with this beast and I'm looking to replace it.

I not really too interested in color. I'd be willing to entertain another Ink or Laser printer.

Any suggestions from brand names to specific models (ones to ignore or ones worth praising) would be much appriciated.

I have the Samsung 1210 (no longer available) but it's a good B&W laser printer. Cnet could be a good start for reviews on printers.

But the Samsung ML-1430 seems to be a little above $110 to $200....

Very nice inkjet With separate color cartridges.

If no color needed, then Samsung's new ML-1710 (600x600) for about $180 or ML-1750 (1200x600) for about $230. You can buy the older models as suggested above and save some $$ but the new models I've listed are quieter and have much smaller profile. The print quality is basically the same between the older and new models though.

If you want some color then Canon "i" series printers (850 or 950).

If you don't need colour, it's a no-brainer - laser. Your cost per page will be lower and quality higher.

Any of the Samsungs mentioned will fill your needs.
