Hi,

My network setup is as follow:
Modem-> Wireless Router-> 1x Computer (Windows 2000Pro) connected by wire to router - 1x computer (Win XP Pro SP2) connected wirelessly to router.

An HP Deskjet 990 printer is connected by USB to the computer with Windows 2000 Pro.
I made all the changes on the Windows 2000 computer with the printer, made it shared and a network printer.

When I look in "Entire Network" On the Windows 2000 computer, I can the Win XP computer, shared folders and printers (which it doesn't have any of).
But when I go in the Win XP computer to add the network printer from the Win 2000 computer, in the "Add Printer" wizard it only sees the other computer itself and not the printer.

When I go in the Win XP computer to "My netwrok places" I don't see my network, which I do see on the Win 2000 computer.
I set up both computers on the same workgroup, and I can see it is true from the Windows 2000 computer.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks

Check any firewall setups on the XP side. Also, if the printer is shared on the 2000 system, you should be able to just see it in My Network places and "right-Click" and select "Connect".

Can you ping each machine from the other system? If not you have basic networking problems. Most Likely firewall issues. Is Norton Internet security involved on any system?

Win XP firewall is on but shouldn't interfere with this should it? No other firewall or security software.
Yes I just tried and both computers ping from each other.

Where do you mean right click? I am trying to be able to print from my Win XP computer to the printer connected to the Win 2000 computer.
I don't see the workgroup nor the win2000 computer in My Network Places on the Win XP computer.
