Print servers like an HP Jetdirect do not have drivers on the cards themselves. They use the print driver on the PC and send the data via one of the couple of IP printer protocols out there. The thing to watch for is networked versions of the all in one printers. Some of those do have special windows drivers that connect to the print server in a way that is not standard. If that software is not available for the Mac it still might be able to print to it but be unable to use the scanner and fax.
I have an HP4050 with a jetdirect in it that both my Mac and PC print to. It works because there are drivers for both available. One thing is for certain though, once you go network print you won't want to go back... Sharing windows printers / etc is harder and less stable in my opinion.
Edit: In a home network I mean.
