Hi,

:D

we've got a sweet Xerox Phaser 8200 in our office now...but we print so much that it's not too cost effective anymore...just wicked expensive. We used to get free black ink from freecolorprinters.com which was sweeeeeeeeet...but, not so much anymore...b/c it's not free now. :(

so anyhow, we do 15,000 - 20,000 pages/month... probably not a ton compared to some offices. Anyway, we need a good b/w solution that's cheaper than what we're spending on ink. :D

any suggestions for where to find the BEST information on these...OR any suggestions from your life experience... probably more valuable than anything else to me :D

I think we do stuff for like 15-20 cents/page. I THINK.... but that's color. :(

anywayz....any info is helpful!

we're lookin' for a printer able to duplex, 2 trays, and network capability.

TIA!

Best HP laserjet in your budget, or maybe even 2 if it's a large office. I don't like their cheap consumer models any more, but the medium to high end office models are solid, dependable, and cheap to run.

Yeah if your company has a high end copier or fax machine most of them have options that can turn them into printers, that may be worth looking into. but w/ the budget you listed you can get one of these HP LaserJet 4200DTNSL, its got a 225 dollar rebate from hp atm and has everything but the kitchen sink :)

How long have you had those? Can anyone else comment on their reliability? I'm presuming it's pretty high at those usage rates but I would like to be sure. :)

I'm looking at the Aficio 1515MF right now...

18 months so far..:) only have the usual troubles with bad paper feeds. Usually the original is crumpled up(usually a few times a day..quick lift of cover at feed point..remove original..lower lid..machine ready to go) or the new paper feed gets a bad sheet that was loaded in the feed tray(s) crumpled/etc(about 2 times a week)...i.e. operator error.

Thanks for the quick update! Looks like the only things these are lacking in is color scanning for the B&W Multifunction models. But that's not too important. :)

Hmm, they don't have monthly volume and the only thing they list is low volume. What does that mean?
