I use to have Canon S800. Anyone has any recommendation on what printer that would have the same photo quality or better?

I would go for an All In One Printer if the photo printing quality would be good.

I like the Canon. I would go for another Canon for quality and price of ink. The i960 is good.

if you want a dedicated - mostly - photo printer, the i960 is "it".

For me - the i860 was the perfect choice - superb photos just slightly 'less' than the i960 - BUT better and faster text (with a separate large black ink specially for text plus one just for photos) . . . separate cheap ink cartridges, silent and fast . . . .

Canon

i believe the i860 is discontinued and has been replaced with the new model . . . . if you can still get them they go for less than $100.

I have had the Canon i470d for a while now. Amazing printer. Don't know how it compares to quality compared to your previous one, but I am figuring that it should be waayyy better.

Oh, this has direct memory card printing too...haven't tried that yet.

The PIXMA 4000 replaced the i860...
It's a good all around printer...

Anything except Epson, unless you like the printhead drying out. The new Canons are terrific. My pixMa 300o is great.
