Printer properties diagonal being displayed twice

wpshooter

Have a user that is complaining because when he attempts to print a limited range of pages of a document from within Word on a Windows 7 machine that the diagonal for the printer properties/layout are being displayed TWICE (once after he goes to FILE/PRINT and then is displayed a second time just before the document is about to be printed). Printing is being done to his local USB printer.

Is there a way to NOT get this second instance of the printer properties diagonal under Windows 7 ?

I am using XP on my machine and I do NOT get this second instance of the printer diagonal.

Thanks.

Not sure what you are talking about. I can find nothing that matches "printer properties diagonal." What is that? Do you perchance mean the printer dialog screen?

Yes, sorry, dialog screen.

Why is it being displayed twice under Windows 7 O/S ? Does not do that on my XP machine.

Is there some setting in either the Word application or in Window 7 O/S that can make this second instance of dialog screen go away ?

Thanks.

OK - it does not do that in either my XP system or my Win 7 system. What I would do is this: I would uninstall the printer completely. Physically remove it and delete all the drivers. Then, I would reinstall it from scratch.
