Alright this printer that i have had for a while now is all of a sudden acting up, a few monhs back outta the blue it started taking a really long time to feed the paper you could hear the thing spinning but it wouldnt catch the paper till like 1-2 mins later then start pirinting like normal, i didnt bother to mess with it since it still printed and its not like i ever need anything printed asap. Anyway now its time to refill the ink cartridge (which i have done since the weird paper thing started no problem) and now all of a sudden the buggy that holds the ink cartridges wont slide all the way to the left, it slowly slides out gets 1/10 of the way slides back, starts to slide out gets 1/4 of the way slides back, slowly slides out 1/4 of the way then slides back and then it stops...

Epson Stylus Color 880 is the printer latest drivers its running through my SMC Barricade router, hrm maybe i should try direct connect ot printer port, ill try that you uys gimme your suggestions 🙂

TIA

*Directly connecting from printer to printer port didnt solve the problem. 🙁

I don't know about the paper feed problem, but my Epson 800 used to do the same when it came time to change cartridges. What I'd do is turn it off, unplug it, then force the ink holders to the spot where I could change them. When you turn it on again it gets recalibrated to the right spot.

About 6 months after I started doing that the printer went bust so do so at your own risk.

Paper problem - dirty pickup roller

Ink head - bad/faulty sensors.

Try forcing (does take a bit of pressure to push the heads) to the other end of the printer and then try turning on the printer. Try removing the ink cartridges and reinserting them again. It may or may not fix anything.

Worse case, you need a new printer, which are cheap these days.
