Whats the deal with my printer?! Suddenly it wouldn't work- saying there was a connection error. So I install W2k and I get basically the same problem- this is using a parallel port btw. So then I try USB in W2k...it's a lil better, at least now it detects some things on my printer (such as ink...it detects how much ink i have left). So then I got fed up with W2k (other problems too) and installed WinME again and I'm having the same freakin connection problem (using USB).

I tried it on my old computer...same problem (parallel port...no USB on it).

It's an Epson Stylus Color 860. It was doing so well for so long...I dunno what happened!

HELP!

I've tried the drivers that came with the printer and the newest ones.

HELP!

I think I am about to tell you what you already know.

If you tried it on two different systems and two different types of cables, with the same result, the printer itself could be f00ked. I'd start looking into warranty repair options :(

Yeah, I know. :( I emailed epson tech support...they said the problem could be that I'm out of color ink- but that doesn't make much sense considering the problem. Well, I ordered new ink anyway and we'll see what happens. :(
