Printer problem with SCO Unix

Hi,

I have a problem with an OKI dotmatrix printer under SCO Unix. This serial printer is connected to COM1 (tty1a). The printer is printing OK but after some pages, it suddenly starts to print trash. It prints in capitals in case of normal letters, the lay-out is destroyed and so on. Sometimes, it happens after 20 pages, sometimes after 50. This may vary. The printer is configured using IBM emulation.

What can cause this problem and what's the solution?
