Have had a problem since i got this printer and can't seem to figure it out.

Epson Stylus Photo 1200

Whenever i print out something, the colors will be different then what the pciture actually is.

For instance:

i made a CD label that was supposed to be Black and Grey, and it came out red and black.
then came out Blue Green another time.

same thing with websites:

Tried to just print Googles page and the writing came out teal instead of dark blue.

Was hoping maybe someone had a similiar problem with a printer and figured out the cause.

it has new printer cartridges: (Cheap ones)

If anyone can help me out i'd appreciate it.

Shawn.

Are you having the problem on any type of paper?

Make sure under Printer Properties\Color Management that you
have the Color Profile set to automatic.

To print properly on any other type of paper than Plain bond, you
should add the Pantone Color profiles for Inkjet & Glossy paper.

You can get them here.

Pantone Color Profiles

You didn't specify an OS. If it is WinXP and you are using the Built-in driver from XP, you should D/L
the Win2k driver and use that.
