Hi All,
At work we have a computer(PIII 733MHz) with a HP1120C printer attched to it running Windows 2000. It Worked fine for years and now it does not respond.
We checked it out and the cable and printer works fine on other computers. The BIOS settings are set to PS/2 which what all the other computers are set for.
The computer can not dedect the printer when it is connected and powered up.
My question is how do I know if this is a hardware problem or OS?
Thanks in advance

Check in the BIOS and see if you can change the setting (ie.ECP)...if that doesn't work another possible alternative is to get an USB/PP adapter and run it that way
