Printer parts: What is a PCA?

My service manual for my HP Laserjet 4+ printer has lots of references to PCAs. What are they? Some kind of assembly? I think they are boards or assemblies of some kind. What does PCA stand for? Acronymfinder has dozens of definitions but I didn't see anything remotely appropriate.

I am going to try replacing the formatter in this thing. Is that the same as the Formatter PCA?

In good tech writing, the first time an acronym is used, it should be defined parenthetically.
