Printer not printing black text....PLEASE HELP

I am running Win XP and have a Canon BJC-6000 printer. The printer has stopped printing black. I have changed the ink cartridges. In fact I just changed all the color ones and the Black one. Still the black will not print. It goes the the motions of printing a document, picture, etc. but the only thing that works is if I change the text color to red or blue or some other color. What can be the problem? I went the the printer diagnostics....head cleaning, deep head cleaning...you name it....but still no black...WTF? These are BRAND NEW authintic Canon ink tanks. Any help will be apprectiated....Thanks

One of two things could be causing this:

1. The printhead is so clogged up that the built-in diagnostics can't help. Try cleaning it yourself by soaking it in alcohol.

2. It is possible that your drivers are set to color-only output. Try resetting them back to defaults.

MKAY...i've tried all that and still to no avail it is still not printing black.....GRRRRR WTF? it is a fairly new printer....i just spent $60 on all new ink so I dont wanna get a new printer so what shall I do?

Ok all...thanks for your help and if anyone else has this problem I figured it out....I neede to just buy a new Ink cartridge....not the ink....but the thing the ink goes in. Thanks for your help and now I can print!!!!
