This got no replies in the networking forum so I'm trying it here.

So I am planning a new gaming build, and I have been hanging on to an old HP LaserJet 6L that I have directly connected to my main PC.

I have wired and wireless neworking at the home.

So what't the problem? The 6L runs on a parallel port, and pretty much most cutting edge gaming mobos don't have one anymore.

Can I use a product like http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=printer+server+parallel+port&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:eek:fficial&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=10465654872739896541&sa=X&ei=RjsOT9vyHYP02QXh7o3HAg&ved=0CJEBEPMCMAI

Or can you suggest another one?

Yes. You should be able to use a device like the one you linked to share your printer. I actually have an old, unused Netgear PS110 that you can have for the cost of shipping if you want to give it a try. The user interface is a bit clunky but it worked fine the last time I plugged it in.

HP lists its JetDirect EX as a print server that works with the 6L.
