Printer Networking Difficulty in Win XP

I'm trying to network a printer between 2 Win XP computers. Everything looks as if it is working but the network printing doesnt work. All local printing comes out fine. The printer is a Canon MultiPass C530. Whenever I try to print through the network I just get an error on the currently printing window. Does anyone know what I should try to solve this difficulty. Gratful for any help.
