Printer <name> failed to initialize because a suitable <name> driver could not be found

I keep noticing that when users RDP into Windows Servers, we often get the following errors generated:

Printer <name> failed to initialize because a suitable <name> driver could not be found

This is a common error, I know, but is cluttering our syslogs. Is there any way to make it so that this error either isn't generated, or isn't marked as an actual "error"?

Any help would be great, thanks!

I believe that, by default, the Remote Desktop client will attempt to attach local printers when connecting to the server (allowing the client to print from the server to a local printer). This is probably the cause of the error.

You can disable it on the client side easily, but there may be a way to prevent it on the server side as well.

Exactly, it is. I'm looking for the server side "fix", if there is one, just to prevent the error from being generated. (We actually like the feature, just don't like the alerts).

do you have your printer drivers loaded to the terminal server?

In some cases, no, which is what generated the error. I'm just wanting to suppress the notifications.
