Printer makes loud, violent noises.

My HP Deskjet 600 at work has decided to become extremely loud. After printing 1 page and starting the next, the wings, part that suspends the current printing page from the others that protrude from the left and right of the print bay, open and close violently, making a very loud noise...

I've tried removing the bed the printed paper ends up on, turning it on and off, removing everything and putting it back, and even calling it dirty names... any solutions?

Hp's newer lower end printer are horrible. I suggest you throw that away and buy a Samsung laser. A friend of mine had a deskjet and when it was slightly broken she tried to get it fixed under warranty but to no avail, the customer service was rude, incompetent, and ignorant. So do yourself a favor and chuck that "printer" where it belongs, the dump.

Before you do that, record it, put it on the net, show the world how crap HP printers have become, and start a revolution.

It's still doing it and I've tried almost everything except racism...

So now the printer makes an even louder buzzing noise when it takes a sheet to be printed... could it be the 3 rubber wheels which move the paper as it prints?

Ok, so the noises got louder and longer... 3-5 seconds each and just as loud as a full grown parrot sqawking in your ear. So we decided to trash the HP DeskJet 600, and try the HP DeskJet 612C... uninstalled the old drivers, plugged in the new printer, installed the new drivers, Windows says it's working just fine, so we tell it to print the test page. It takes the paper in about half way then stops, and the Paper light begins to flash. Task manager reports it as operating normally so we give it a couple minutes to see if it runs. I come back and I switch to the CPU stats on the task manager and I find a pretty little image. The CPU is fluctuating from 0% to 5% then 1% to 6% 3-7 and so on... it eventually gets up to 100% usage just from printing, then starts to go back down in reverse order. It does this about 3 times, then I decided that's probably bad for the CPU. We end the print and the CPU returns to 4% usage in no time.

What could possibly be happening? I'm totally lost.
