Printer Installation error for a Epson c60

When attempting to install drivers that I downloaded from the epson website I am prompted with the following message: "Printer driver cannot be installed. Windows System may be in an abnormal condition". Has anyone seen this message before? I get this when I'm trying to install my boss's computer's printer.

Never seen that error. I assume Windows is on C drive and not something else?

yes windows is on c drive. One partition.
