I bought a Canon i550 Open Box at Best Buy last week. It looked basically new. The ink's were loaded, but it was missing the Driver CD so they knocked 20 bones off the price. It seemed to work well for a few days, but now I'm having to run the head cleaner a lot, and the text is starting to look a bit fuzzy. I asked the guru at Best Buy and he told me I should try running it with a Paralel cable because there is something about USB and printers on certain PC's (haha) any ways, paper wise I'm using HPB1124, it's fairly thick and bright. Not sure how it rate. But I have to clean the heads every couple of days or I will get prints with no black. Question is, I'm NOT printing much, anyone have any suggestions for this printer? If it's the heads I will just take the printer back. But, I'm too cheap to spend 25 bucks more on a closed box one. $75 was too good of a deal to pass up tho 🙂 Also, when I run the status monitor it shows my inks are 100%, which can't be right because I've printed about 35-40 4x6's in high quality, and a couple 8x10's.
