Printer ink help: "photo" vs regular ink?

You need regular not photo. Photo inks are typically a much lighter shades and can only be used in conjuction with the regular inks. (sometimes this is not the case with photo black which is often a non-pigmented version of black.)

The canon printers come with a variety of colors:
CYMK (i560)
CYMK Pk (non-pigment black) (i860)
CYMKPkPmPc (i960)

Monsterink, like so many ink refill places, has a poor site that has messed up information about what inks goes with what printers. I looked it up and the i850 uses only 4 tanks so you should avoid all of the photo inks.
