Ohkay I have a Xerox work Centre XK35c and its being a beast.
It installs fine in XP or so it seems using the win 2k drivers, but thats where the problems start. upon rebooting I am greeted no amtter what with a message of "ehy you wanna install those drivers again" I say "hell know"(ie cancel) and be on my merry computing way. (if someone could tell me how to fix that I'd be much appreciative ;-))
Then on to the bigger problem. It does let me print from applications but it takes like 5 mins to spool up. I have given my LPT port all she has and even tried switching it to the USB port (it has dual inputs) but neither make a difference. And once it does spool an error is created...press the continue button and everything works fine again. Arrgh this is a stupid printer but i paid $200 back in the days of win 98 and it worked great...scanner...copier...print...its awesome when it works...
So anyone out there have any ideas? Please no make LPT port faster or USB faster...tried it...failed...along with getting new driver and new cables and new firmware(which i think may have screwed it up in the first place)...
