Something is missing. No doubt just one thing. I have had an old and dependable Canon BJ200ex. It stopped printing in the middle of a page. That is, it kept buzzing away to the end, but the rest of the page was blank.
I first of course figured it was out of ink, so I refilled it with the little plug hole there (BC-02), which I know how to do. No luck. So maybe the print cartridge itself was gonzo. Got a new one, still prints blank pages. Reinstalled the driver, no luck. Got out the other printer, a BJC-2010 on the shelf in the cellar. It had worked, but my daughter got another one from a friend, that she liked better (the printer, not the friend), so we put the 2010 away. Set up the 2010, got the latest driver off the net from Canon, ran the setup.exe, it also prints blank pages. When I tell it to print, I get the quick little window showing a little picture of a page with green flowing down it like a window shade, so something is seemingly getting sent to somewhere, but nothing comes out on the paper.
I don't know enough to know what's missing. Seems like the data sent from the computer to the printer is getting lost somewhere before it gets to the last step of coming out on the paper. Two printers, reasonably expected to be working both with something missing.
Any help?
