The printer my father-in-law uses with his Classic Macintosh has died. Does anyone know which printers are compatable with that model? Thanks.
 
Depends on the operating system, but Apple Stylewriter II,1200,1500,2400,2500, HP Deskwriter 310, 320, 510,520,540,550,600,660,680,690

Should all work. probably want to make sure the drivers work with whatever operating system you have before you buy one. If you have 7.1 or better, I think your ok.

Edit - Did they make a 500? I didn't see it on hp's website

Thanks to both of you for your replies - have been out of town and I have not replied in a timely manner. DealyDo, are you certain the 500 will work? LordSandMan seems to have some reservations. Thanks.
