Printer driver keeps disappearing.

I load the driver for the Canon LPB 460 printer onto my computer running Windows 98 SE and the printer works fine. The next day, trying to print checks from Quickbooks, I get the message: no printer installed. I reload the drivers and get the same error message. I reload the drivers a second time and the printer then works fine. Does this sound like a virus? Help!
